Tiskilwa Historical Society
invites the community to the third annual program of “There’s History All
Around Us,” presented by Mr. David Gray’s social studies students at Logan
Junior High. A program of photos and facts, based on student research, will
include topics of Mount Bloom Cemetery and the origins of Tiskilwa’s Pow
Wow Days event.
Tiskilwa Historical Society invites
the community to Tricia Kelly’s portrayal of Nellie Bly. Bly is most famously
known for her investigative reporting and her “trip around the world.”
All programs at Museum on Main are free of charge and open to the public.
Presentations are followed by refreshments and social time in the museum
galleries.
Beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Memorial Day in the East Park, local
U.S. Navy veteran Jennifer Fisher will host Tiskilwa’s annual ceremony. An
honor guard, a noteworthy speaker, and other patriotic events will be part of
the program.
Tiskilwa Historical Society invites the
community to a traditional jazz concert with John Cooper.
